Dream Chaser (Series): “Building the Dream”

“#IhaveaDream, but so what its only a dream.” I have heard this before and the truth is if you only look at the dream it will always stay a dream. God gives a Dream(vision) to show us that what he can accomplish through us. Where I see the breakdown between Dreams being a dream and DREAMS (REALITY), is the willingness to plan and work toward the Dream.

The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.

Now for those of you thinking that I’m a hyper organized person and planning flows from my fingers tips your are mistaken. In everything we do must consult with God and see what He says. Without having Him in the process we only provide space for the enemies plan to derail the Dream.

Nehemiah (Knee-High-Miah) was a short man with a big Dream.

He wanted to build the walls around his homeland city that had been laid to ruin from being conquered. God gives Nehemiah the Dream when he is burden with pain for his city that once was (Nehemiah 1:4). He prays and trust God’s leading to ask the king of the very people who put Israel into captivity not only to build the walls but for the finances to cover the cost of a rebuild, not a renovation. The king is moved by Nehemiah and grants him his wants. Then Nehemiah, in the midst of doubters and enemy presence, he and his people get working and rebuild the walls in 52 days! Here we see that steps to success for the Dream

    1. Listen – for your God given Dream

    2. Pray – for courage to do what is needed

    3. Ask – for your wants and needs and see how God provides

    4. Plan – so that you have clear effective and efficient steps to reach the Dream

    5. Work – just get things done and let God be what you can not

    6. Adapt – to curves that are brought to you, maintain focus on the Dream

    7. Rest- so that you have the energy do things right and they we there meant to be done, with your best.

These steps to success once done, repeat. We serve an incredible God, Remember “earthly mountains are nothing compare to universal God”@chuckswindoll. So go on and build what you can not and watch what God does!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Eph 3:20
